iPhone SE (2016) Why can’t Apple just make an all screen SE2?

In his defence you can’t open a single thread on this forum without someone moaning about a small phone. It is very tedious.

Simple, cost. Nothing else. And the SE by default is made from recycled old iPhone parts.

This is patently false. There’s nothing ‘recycled’ that was used on the iPhone SE, what you mean to say, is that there’s pre-existing parts from the iPhone 5s that were used on the iPhone SE. Furthermore, The internal hardware with the A9 processor and 12 megapixel were new additions.

Being able to massively reuse the iPhone 8’s production line is what keeps it cheap.

A smaller version of the current design would require an entirely new production line and the manufacturing costs would sky rocket. Also the amount of people who want an original SE size device are in an extreme minority.

If the SE2 does not retain the physical home button and a headphone jack, then it is no longer a "SE". It is SUPPOSED to be a cheaper "retro" design. I know a lot of you can't understand it, but some us actually consider the SE to not only the perfect size, but a classic "perfect"design. Not everyone wants a "phablet".
Besides all you bleeding edge techies already have a LOT of options, let those of us who like this form factor have this one phone.

yes, it’s hard to do because no one wants phones the size of a $.01 coin anymore.

Nobody’s using them anymore and when they eventually get an SE2 out the door you’ll find something else to complain about and won’t be buying it anyway. So there’s that.

Nope, misses has an 8, I have an X and son has an SE. The dig is geared more towards the computer side of things. I’ve been an Apple user since the Apple ][+ days, so it will always be in my blood, to some degree.

My family is a good candidate for a couple new SE2’s, which is my I am interested.
