I wanted the 64gb model, but with the midnight pre-order server madness, the only 6 Plus I was able to add to cart at the time was the 128, so I did it.

I've cancelled Spotify in order to go back to managing my own music since I now have so much space -- so that's how I'm justifying the extra cost. If Beats ever integrates better with iOS, I'll most likely go that direction, but not just yet.

I've got a completely full 64gb iPad (tons of reference books and large games), I'm actually glad I have the 128 iPhone now. Gaming / books / music / movies... no space worries. :)

Im one of those people who say I won't upgrade every year but end up doing it every year. Im coming from a 16 GB s4 and I usually stream everything so 64 will be more than enough. I do take lots of pictures

Honestly because it was offered.
I like to have a couple of movies handy, now I can have more

Too many pictures and videos and too lazy to offload them to a computer. The 64 gig was starting to feel tight.

Mostly because I'm an old man and I haven't fully embraced streaming music. I still prefer to download and own MP3s for now. I have like 5,500 songs on my 5.

I hated having to micromanage my media library, and 128 gives me the freedom to throw whatever I want on my phone without having to worry about storage.

Also, I can't add storage if I need more, so my phone is pretty future-proofed for the next year or so.

I got the 128GB model because I'm sick of having to juggle which movies and TV shows I can sync. Music is fine (70GB library, but using iTunes Match so I only download 5GB or so, of my favorites) but the videos kill me, every time.

The AT&T store I purchased only had the 128gb left by the time I was able to buy (I was stunned they still had anything 7 hours after launch.) Since I was without a phone and my commute is brutal, I jumped.

I think this was a happy accident, especially since the iOS 8 and other stuff takes up 15gb. I still add and remove movies like I have 32gb though.

Agreed - been pining for a larger capacity phone for years so I don't have to be constantly decanting music to and from the phone..
Also makes sense now with much larger video files capable of being taken with the phone..
Don't know how anyone copes with a 16gb...

I upvoted you for the word "decanting". :)

It's all that was available launch day at the t-mobile store I went to. I was planning on getting the 64gb model. Was first in line (of only maybe 20 people). Turns out the store only got in 4 phones and they were all 128gb space grey iPhone 6. My music library is 100gb so now I can have it all on my phone which is nice. Time to retire my 160gb iPod Classic.

No offense but what kind of question is this?! People buy high capacity to store a bunch of stuff. I regularly had to manage storage on my 64gb 5S. Perhaps I'm a hoarder or pics, video, media, and apps.

All My Music

I have about 70 gigs of music of varying bit rate. With a 128gb phone I can finally put all my music on the device once and for all, not have to pick out the stuff I listen to less, and I can stop streaming. I have pretty solid Verizon 4G, but too often when I am riding my motorcycle my music stops and I have to pull over in order to get it going again. No more buffering or stopping and considering the cost of data these days, the extra 100$ over the 64 gb model is worth it. The 16gb model doesn't count as an option.

Perhaps more importantly, I have enough space to put video on the device too, something no iDevice i have had yet had space to really do. Frankly I have always had to choose between games, music, or video and now I can have a fair bit of both.

Considering the prices, the 16gb model is an insult, and the 64gb model is already so expensive that I think, why not just get 128gb.

I bought a 128 (2 ) today. Just walked into sprint and bought two off the shelf. I was going to order 2 64gb but said heck, they have the 128 here right now for $100 more.
I will probably use maybe 20g tops but the wife, ya she is going to load 100% of iTunes on there and take like 3000 pix lol.
Plus resale is higher in the end
