Guys, you're still at it? Did anyone opting for the feature gave Apple a hint or are you just trolling to keep the thread going? I believe the options have already been given in the first two pages give it a break guys and go bombarding apple with feature requests...

Nope, just like you, I am entitled to my opinion, which is that I like the phone app how it is, because with the few people that have my number, if someone's calling me, it's likely damn important, so I don't want to risk missing the call because I didn't se the notification. You can't say that you haven't missed at least one banner notification, just based on the fact that you're not perfect. and this whole business of you saying we're all off topic is just as crazy, because nobody has ventured off topic. From what's posted in the thread, I can't see anyone who's not talking about their opinion about the phone app. Furthermore, just because someone disagrees with you, that doesn't mean that their opinion is wrong or any less valid.

You can't know that. Maybe he has those 4 inch thick coke bottle glasses and needs the entire screen to notify him of an incoming call.

Having an option to please every one's wish list would quickly lead to a very busy Settings app, and would be distinctly anti-Apple in the sense that they've grown their empire on providing minimalist designs that make complex tasks easy for the average user.

you're not getting it... APPLE ALREADY ALLOWS ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS TO BE UNOBTRUSIVE... ALL!

you can have your Text App be obtrusive (on screen pop up) or unobtrusive (banner or badge icon)

Apple OBVIOUSLY knows people use more than just the "Phone". why else would they release the App Store and have commercials that show everything BUT the phone function.

you guys act like cell phone carriers are going to be extinct if they allow people the OPTION to have a Phone Banner/Green Banner + Ringtone versus an all-over-screen notification.

Yes, people here don't get it. It's not that we want a new feature, we just want the phone to be properly supported by the Notification center as are all the other apps.
