Wait, you don't want to tell us what notebook you got just because you think that this will annoy me? You really are a weirdo, man :D

No just saving on a wall of words, know how it is ;) annoy never really considered too trivial methinks, and I may or may not keep the formula, although the scalability very much appeals. Just a big gaming beast, gut the software and you've basically got a portable workstation sans the more exotic GPU. If you need the Quadro GPU, Xenon CPU, ECC RAM fair enough, equally this level of hardware in a portable format is deeply into 5 figures, which makes no sense unless you can monetise the hardware, and have constant use.

I'm ok with downgrading my GPU if it means that I can comfortably carry around my laptop everywhere I go. Practicality trumps absolute performance demands in my case. Not to mention that I don't have that much use for a GPU besides gaming...

That's absolutely fair enough, users needs versus the practicality of the device, and you don't want a heavyweight dGPU unless you have a need, power, temp, weight etc. equally if you need it's nice to have the option. I don't mind the bulk as I need the additional performance these days, and as I say fast silicon in a small chassis is just not going to work when you consider the total TDP of the system. Some can pull it off, equally akin to sharing the room with a helicopter :p

I gathered that much from your description :D

Just in case :p I like SB2, although similar to the 1st Gen and Mac's I tend to stay clear for a good while and let the manufacturer workout the production kinks.

I doubt you will get a response out of Q-6

He is known for many things but lying is not one of them

Just another noob...
