Why do so many people hate the notch at the top of the iPhone Pro?

Don't think it will be a big deal as i don't see Apple releasing it with a white bezel it will be black most likely.

I don't think that many people hate it. I think it looks nice and gives the phone more character. If it were all screen and nothing else, how would it look any different from any other bezel-less phone?

I think it’s kind of cool. It shows that we can have a display that’s not just a square or a square with rounded corners. The display molds around something, witch I think is kind of cool. I don’t really care for the photos with the white bezel though.

Yes, it bothers me a little from an aesthetic viewpoint. However, for me, engineering and function always wins. It seems to have some merit.

Not a fan of white and never have been. In Black it’s perfect. It’s a smart use of dead space imho

Generally I prefer white. Also my 7+ is Jet Black all S8’s have black bezels.

I’d go white even though the notch is gross.

Yes, it bothers me a little from an aesthetic viewpoint. However, for me, engineering and function always wins. It seems to have some merit.

I can look past certain physical features with the phone, as most physical features are superficial anyways for some. But it's the functionality and capabilities that sell me in the long run with the iPhone.
