Tried to like the MM, but it's *not* ergonomic, and definitely not precise enough for the work I do in Photoshop...and one thing I completely forgot about (since I only used it for about 2 weeks): It's incredibly *SLOW*...I've never used a mouse with slower tracking than the MM. That was the main reason I switched - I thought something was wrong with it....

Couldn't have said it better myself other than the fact that big hands+might mouse=PAIN.

I have had mine since October and I love it. I have small hands, I suppose, so maybe that's why. I love the design and rollerball and the batteries lasts pretty long for me. I do only use it when I'm at home (so probably max 3-4 hours a day) but I've only had to replace the batteries once. It also hasn't clogged, but sometimes I run into a wired MM with that issue at university.

I hate it because it does not have a real right click button. Instead it relies on some cool sensing technology to know when you are clicking on the left or right side of the mouse. This is a neat idea but in practice it is awful because to right click you cannot have any fingers touching the left side of the mouse. So to right click I have to concentrate on lifting my left fingers off the mouse. Every other mouse I have ever used did not have this requirement so it makes it very hard to get used to.

I have to agree with most of what I read on this mouse. The scroll wheel itself isn't to bad but I would prefer that button to be moved more forward towards the top.

My biggest issue is the mouse is just to flat. It needs more of an arch to better fit the natural curve of your hand. The side buttons are harder than they should be to use. But I usually don't care much for the side buttons anyway.

I want to go bluetooth but full size bluetooth mice seem to be rare these days. Most bluetooth mice are those darn minis. I have a normal size Kensington bluetooth PilotMouse but it is longer made that I use mainly with my HP laptop. I tried it with my Mac and it would connect but it is not compatible with Leopard and didn't always wake up the computer or the Mac would always try to find it each time, so I moved it back to the HP. Plus it is blue/silver in color and looked a bit out of place next to my beautiful 24" aluminum iMac. :p

So my search continues. I hate to breakdown and get an RF mouse but that may have to be my decision.

I've used the Mighty Mouse... don't own one though... but from what I've used I like it.

However, I can see why people wouldn't like it...

I think the main problem with it is the buttons on the top aren't sensitive enough to a click... you kinda have to press harder than you do with most mouses. That's when being compared to one of those PC mouses, though.

As new I really like the Mighty Mouse.

Then the scroll ball gets gunked up. There's a reason why they don't make mice with balls anymore but at least those you could clean!

I've just taken it apart and cleaned it out and the scroll ball is working like new again. It's a design fault though.

We've been through one wired and two wireless MM's--they currently sit in the mouse graveyard basket on a shelf. A huge waste of money, they don't last long at all.

All my MMs stop scrolling from time to time but if you simply clean the ball with a damp cloth for about a minute or two. Not just 10 seconds! Then it works fine. I really dont see why people have a problem with the MM. Yes its annoying it stops scrolling and yes its a design fault but if you clean it like Apple says to clean it then it works fine. I have 5 MMs.

Also if you find your fingers getting a bit warm and greasy wash them because this is the main reason the MM stops scrolling. Its not particles getting stuck so much its the grease from your fingers lubricating the ball so there is no grip on the mechanical doohicky inside.

It doesn't feel right in my hands. And, like some have mentioned - It's not as responsive as many third party mice out there.

Even though mine came included with my purchase - for the price, there are MUCH more comfortable and responsive mice out there.

I've had mine since December 2007, when I got my Mac, and I love it. It has gone wrong once. It's also very good with batteries compared to my Logitech Bluetooth mouse.

I have no complaints. It's the easiest mouse to use that I have ever had. It fits so nicely in my hands.

I just purchased a wireless mighty mouse the weekend before last and I've been very happy with it. I've setup the ball button to be the right-click button and I've disabled the side buttons. It works as well or better than my previous Logitech mouse.

ok im just about to receive my 4th wireless mighty mouse

*I must not eat when using the mighty mouse*

I hate my Mighty Mouse, because I have to clean it for a few minutes at least twice a day (my hands sweat really badly though, they chap and bleed sometimes:() but apart from that, it is way to small for my hands, and it makes my hand hurt after a few minutes of using it. I'm presently saving up for a Logitech MX Revolution. Plus I spend my life at my iMac and as such eat most of my meals in front of it with greasy hands.

I love my wireless Mighty Mouse.

The best solution to fix a stuck trackball on the MM is to hold the mouse upside down, then take a paper towel moistened with some rubbing alcohol and roll the mouse trackball around on that paper towel. The alcohol will strip away any dirt or oil clogging up the trackball. Works much better than just water.

I hate having to lift my index finger to right click...ugh. I sold mine after a few months of use. I'm using a logitech vx nano and couldn't be happier.

Why do you have to raise your index finger to right-click? I manage to right-click perfectly well while my index finger rests on the mouse. As for the roller ball I find it is fine, the "sticky" problem I find is easily solved by turning the mouse upside down and just rolling it about on the desk and few times, anything trapped in there falls out and it all works again.

I love all three of my Might Mouse(s) errrr is that Mice? I've been using them since March and I never have any problems with them. They are wired. One is for my MacBook, one for my iMac and one for my Mac Pro.

My MM doesn't right click unless I lift my index finger, nor do any of the ones at my local Apple Store. Don't get me wrong, the MM is a great concept, but in real world use it sucks!

The only issue for me is that the scroll ball gets stuck.

Otherwise it's one of the best mice I've used.

Gotta say, I love my mighty mouse, if it gets buggered just gonna have to bend over and pay up again, but thats life and I don't get all worked up about it.

For me the right click on the mighty mouse is really good. All you have to do is set it up to make the scroll ball click right click, then its amazingly fast and easy. Get the side buttons for what you want and some hot corners for expose and spaces and your flying. It's easy on batteries and mine is extremely accurate. It even works with windows vista!! (although not as well as OS X, big surprise there lol :))

I hate mice, I much prefer the track pad, that said when I had a desktop I really enjoyed the track ball, it felt so close to the trackpad...
My main complaint with mighty mouse is the infrared stopped working after a while, and the computer lost the signal all the time. PAINFUL.

I have large hands, it's just too small in them and doesnt help with egonomics as you have to twist your wrist to be flat against the mouse

Who the f*** said you have to lift your index finger. I use my middle finger to right click and so do you with the Logitech or any other mouse. Anyways, I bought the bluetooth MM b/c of simplicity and ease of use. I hate the Logitechs with all those buttons and flashy LED displays and such. Apple isn't about looking like a overloaded piece of hardware, it's nice and sleek on the outside with raw power on the inside.

Design should be simple, I remember those PC laptops with all these buttons that toggle WiFi or audio or something to save power. My friend had trouble with connecting to the internet b/c he accidentally toggled the switch and since he's not an expert, was fustrated,

My point being that just because you have more functions doesn't make your device more valuable. And all products have imperfections, and Apple to say, has one of the least. It's basically a trade-off. Like say the new Samsung Instinct/LG Dare/Prada phones compared to the iPhone. The non-iPhones have MMS and voice-recognition and such. iPhone doesn't but its got the App Store and a glass screen and better touchscreen. Trade off. I loved my mighty mouse from the start, no USB dongles using my valuable 1 of 2 USB ports.
