Anybody else thinking it's cooler than white-gold?
I don't like this mockup, but I'm not even a big fan of 5S gold model.
He probably hates it because it generally looks quite tacky IMO. I think white and gold compliment each other on an iPhone but not with black thrown into the equation. Just my view.
Who said Jony Ive hates black and gold?
Regardless, that mock up is repulsive.
mock ups or artist renders like the above use "real gold" color that is tacky
I speak about the usual "apple gold" that is more tasteful anyway
No way I would carry such an ugly phone.
This black gold 5s is constructed from real apple parts, so it gives a good feel of what it would actually look like
Stop! Just stop!
My poor eyes...
I have to agree with others here, horrible - not my cup of tea
Not something I'd carry around, looking like that anyway.
Where did Jony say he hated it anyway?
If you're getting a Rolex Submariner, you get the all stainless version. The two-tone black/gold and blue/gold, although more expensive, look awful. Gawdy, tacky and cheap looking! The same is true for an iPhone. Premium product or not, it looks horrible.
Psssst, hey buddy... (opens trench coat)... wanna buy a phone... I've got more in the trunk
People were saying the same for white gold, then when apple told them it was cool suddenly it was the best idea ever
If Scarface had an iphone....
I agree. It looks very tacky.
Onyx & gold has been a sign of wealth for thousands of years.
Reminds me of C-3PO, in a negative way.
Indeed. But wealth ≠ taste.
Not only is it fugly beyond words, it reminds me of those tractor jockeys at Purdue.
No. Just no.
I actually like it! I would also like to see a metal navy blue color on black or white
I think the champagne gold and black looks fine, something I'd consider getting. The C3PO gold and black looks awful.
I like it.
Actually what happened is, the champagne/gold iPhone looked far better in real life than any of the pre-release renders
Jonny must an Albion fan, must be the reason he hates the black and gold of the dingles.
Should be a limited amount of people that understands this.
