Didn't you have this same idea theme last year. Btw Jay Freeman is also listed as a Dev-team member. I also think unless you have gone though 700+ mb of data looking for a exploit and understand the whole proccess it's hard to say. Myself includes I can only guess. However I prefer not to get a gift and then complain. Just enjoy The gift when I get it.

Btw hope you don't get all your info from Wikipedia

Yea, people would still do it as a hobby, but i think a paid team could do it faster because it would be their job and not just a hobby.

most hackers do not get paid ... they get paid when they become "Anti Hackers"

I have seen this thread before and it reruns everytime we are waiting on a jailbreak. It was perhaps June or July 2010 when the exact same thread ran for a while when the IP4 was launched. One can safely predict it will run again when the next iphone is released.

A little patience perhaps and everyone will be happy in the end.

Even if those figures are correct (and they seem rather inflated to me), they do not show that Cydia makes "millions" but that it makes a couple hundred thousand a year. That's a big difference, and not something that will support a team of talented hackers; indeed, it probably is just about enough to support Saurik, who gave up a lucrative day job to start Cydia.

Lots of people are waiting patiently for a jailbreak for the 4S. Your bitching here isn't gonna help it move along any faster.

The sooner everyone realizes jailbreaking will end someday (sooner than later) the better. Im getting used to this idea already and thinking of jumping to Android, which is far easier to hack and root and all that stuff.

Waiting is not the problem. The problem is not knowing if iOS 6 (and 7, 8, etc) will be able to jailbreak. I believe the A6 chip and so on will make it even more difficult to jailbreak, and so developers will give up. Its Apple fault.

The way he has it right now works fine for him and its making him more money this way than what it would take to pay someone to find a jb. The process would be accelerated a few weeks to a month or two and would be basically for a jb that is needed mostly for new devices like 4S. Not a good strategy monetary wise for him.

re: Why would Saurik want 1million whining jb'ers to think he owes them something?

I'm sure it's comforting at least to know (for Saurik) that he doesn't have to hurry up and do a damm thing for the impatient whiners unless he just feels like it.. in his free time.. lol I wouldn't want any of these impatient "where is my jailbreak dammit" thread starters thinking they had a right to anything from me either just because they're paying for it. haha:cool:
+1
