While I have had nothing but pleasant interactions at Apple stores, I have very rarely gotten competent technical advice. The latest of at least five examples: Last winter, when I bought my iPad Air 2, I did my homework on transferring my AT&T grandfathered UDP from my iPad 3. The advice from the "genius" was completely, shockingly wrong- fortunately I was able to do it on my own.
