Why don't most Cruises allow streaming video ?

Thanks everyone. I will have all video content locally on my device sense streaming will most likely not work at all like you all said. Thankfully Netflix allows you to download their original series shows now!

I may still get internet but only to check email and surf the web if possible. I doubt it though.

I'm sure someone will find upload a video.. These days u can't even go outside without a video showing up somewhere. since we all came smart phones.

I heard the cruise ships wifi internet is very slow.
I was on a cruise to Bermuda last year but I didn't bother paying extra for it.

It's very expensive and it's not the fastest. Not dial up speeds, but it's a satellite connection.

Yes, I think they had like a small Internet cafe on the ship but I didn't try it out.
I did buy a SIM card with a few GB's of data for a good price while we were docked on the island for 3 days so that worked out pretty good🙂
