Well, bought the phone like everyone else and had the drop call and weak signal problem. Well updated the software and now it will not stay on and drops calls kike no other. I called my buddy earlier today and he heard my voicemail instead of my voice. This joker is going right back to ATT cause this phone is a disgrace and should never ever have been released. It is the worse phone apple has ever produced and they need to do something for all those that were loyal to their brand. I bought the phone thinking it would be up to Apples reputation. So, I sold my old 3GS and went all in with this phone. WRONG,,,, this phone is crap and I will be getting out of it if I can. They should never have released this piece of crap.

I don't believe it for a second. Sure the weak signal thing, we've all dealt with that, but really it's no worse than my 3G or 3GS were.
Every phone will have signal attenuation if you hold it a certain way. As for me, I'm quite happy with the 4

I bought the phone and I do not live in a 5 bar area to begin with more like a 2 - 3 bar area. My 3gs worked good but this thing has been nothing but trouble resetting itself and picking up other peoples conversations and I could have my friend email this crap forum to verify what happened -- he called me back and told me what was going on. Apple should never have released this turd wagon. They tested this thing in California where you have 10 bars on every street corner. In rural areas it does not work as Apple intended. They suck---- I wish I had my 3gs back
Except for the millions that ARE working perfectly in rural areas all over the world. And I'm not sure how having 10 bars on every street corner in California applies to this issue, maybe Californians are just really thirsty.
Did you ever think yours is an isolated problem? I've never heard of a voicemail message interrupting a call. Even if that did happen, that's a problem from the carrier, not the phone. Yes, the signal attenuation sucks, and yes, it still drops calls. They're giving us free cases. If that's not good enough, return it. But you should try restoring the phone first, that usually helps with some of the bugs. If that doesn't work, go to an Apple store and explain the problem, I'm sure they'll be happy to help.
1. Go to Apple.com to look at their Antenna Lab [as they call it, i think]
2. Return it, get the money back, buy an iPhone 3GS
Complaining in the forums isn't gonna do much, so get your ass off the chair and go to the an AT&T or Apple Store

It really started like crap when I switched it to the new software. I upgraded my software to itunes 64 bit then ran their update. After that it has run like crap and I have restored it to its new state twice. Maybe Apple will give me a new one but I just expected it to work like my 3GS and this is not the case.

If you didnt already know, the 3GS has a different antenna system which WILL NOT receive the same signal reception as your iPhone 4
Who cares????
