I disagree. Core 2 Duos would not suit everyone.

Then you'd be a fool to think so. A Core 2 Duo is enough for anyone considering it does good at basic tasks like FB, YouTube and other internet or work usage. Furthermore, a Cor 2 Duo has been a proven platform for over 7 years by now. Unless you need a 12 core computer, then by your logic this is a fair conclusion.

I think most apple products do well because of the lack of knowledge their fans have for the hardware. They think just because it's apple it's going top end.

I had a thread earlier mentioning the not so awesome slow motion the iPhone 7 had compared to the note 7.

Maybe Apple customers don't want bleeding edge?

Just stable, proven and reliable. Those qualities have value.
I disagree and it seems Apple's falling sales backs me up. I think apple charges a premium, is because they believe their product is premium and it typically is, but not when the design is dated and its a couple of generations behind.

I think the general public is starting to react to the lack of updates on the Mac lineup in the same way that the forum members have been reacting for about a year now. It just took longer for them to realize it.
