It's really simple

This is what I'm trying to figure out why is Apple getting hammerd over some lilttle issue when other companys have had sever issues and got a virtualy a pass

I mean take a look at MS and the 360 a system that still suffering since the console is relased a flaw that has ridiculed them ms has basicly nothing except for after 2 years extending there warranty for the issue yet people still go out and buy 360's even after there warranty's are over.

I just find it funny that people get so worked up about something thats been a issue for 3 days but yet something like the Xbox and the RROD have been a issue since it was released.

It's another side of popularity. I bet you did not complain when every news site and tech blog in the Universe were reporting how great Apple products were when they were just overpriced and under performing versions of "regular" tech. Apple PR machine made them look much better than they were. And now they have to pay for this popularity. Another aspect that causes extra interest is Apple design philosophy - "form over function". iPhone 4 may become the classic example of how this approach fails in real life.

so where is that data to backup what you've just said?

The evidence is at the apple store i was there today i didn't see long lines of people waiting to return or swap their iPhones. Neither have there been reports of lines of thousands of people waiting to return iPhones.

You say 3 out of 4 people are having the issue. I know people who are not having the issue. I'm just saying that this issue is like the Shark attacks of the early 2000's where it seemed like there was hundreds or rogue sharks but in reality there wasn't.

Perception is what you make of it. Obviously people on this board insist that it's every phone and pretty much it's useless debating with someone over a LCD.

So at this point i think im leaving mac rumors for a while. This board use to be an awesome place to come. But it's quickly sank down the tubes.

from what apple tech support told me, they are not swapping out phones if its just the signaling issue ...so maybe that's why there wasn't a long line. I've personally had over 80% of my calls dropped until I got a case
