why is apple still selling ipad 2

Please, when the 2 was released there were just as many people complaining about its screen, uneven backlighting, bad light bleed, etc.

So how long did it take until those flaws in the iPad 2 were worked out?

And also they are doing it to get rid of some older stock, which makes sense to me. Why throw the older iPads into the trash, just sell them and get rid of them. 

Pretty sure this is NOT the reason. I think they still make them.

Here's another reason they kept the iPad 2.
My uncle's company is about to buy around 50 iPad 2s to give to their sales staff. They don't care or want the staff to use the iPad to play games, read books or probably even browse the web for recreation. They want to allow customers to proof ads, sign contracts and upload them instantly to the company servers and cut down on the time and paper work it takes to process all their books and ads. The widespread use of the iPad and the apps that go with it improve it's need to them. But, at least for them, the camera, retina screen, graphics, various storage size and extra ram isn't a "need" but more of a luxury.
