$800, you just lost most of your market.

Your competing with a perceived "luxury" brand with a larger cost. Motorola still has that cheap $1 RAZR image in most minds, who the hell would pay a premium for any of their products?

Droid X/2 can't even compete with the iPhone at $200 subsidized (millions sold vs maybe a few 100ks), what makes them think they can compete an $800 tablet with an established Apple branded $500 one? Most people avoid Apple because of the price, by pricing it higher you just lost most of your market.

These heads over at Samsung & Motorola have to realize that they can't compete on having the best specs. They will end up killing off each other instead of grabbing market share from Apple. Release a $400 tablet with honeycomb, no contract, and a great superbowl ad and you have yourself a winner.

Lets pray for competition sake that Motorola releases this device without a contract.

Really? I've been happily using my iPad every day since I got it. What have you been doing these past 10 months besides stewing?
