The one reason I'll never switch back to Windows

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this:

Spotlight

Quite easily one of the most powerful features of OSX compared to Windows. I dare anyone to tell me that they actually use the search function on Windows and it's useful.

As a longtime windows user and now a Mac OSX user, I'd have to say it's just easier to set up things.

No fricking Advanced dialogs and troubleshooting dialogs. You just plug in the 2nd display and it just works. No configuration required. The first time I booted the Mac it found my network and I typed my password and it's ready to go. I don't have to worry about all the details that the windows network required.

I know exactly when any software is going to modify the system because it asks me for the password unlike windows where it's always modifying the registry behind the scenes.

IMHO...

Its an irony that reformatting is easier, yet not as necessary. I only reformat when I want to change my drive partitions, or upgrade a hard drive, or sell the computer.

Reformatting on windows involves downloading your drivers beforehand, or saving the internet drivers to a flash drive and then downloading them after the OS install. With OS X, all of the drivers are already there. Thats a distinct advantage of Apple controlling the hardware, they know what drivers to include. Windows can run on so many configurations, that while its a great thing for customizability, its hinders reformatting.
