I got the 12 pro max 512GB variant.. I have a lot of songs and movies stored locally and I plan to shoot a lot of video. Additionally Apple's rawpro file format will be taking 25MB per photo.... But it seems like a lot of people claim 512GB is over kill and they stream everything... But I was curious if those same people aren't scared they will run out of space when they take more video?

I love having that cushion of the 512GB so I won't have to be worrying about deleting important files to save space. Is everyone storing everything in the cloud and streaming movies and music, so they figure they don't need 512? Or is it because its too expensive??
I use iCloud photos so the video thing is not an issue. All my music and media is streamed as well. I might download some playlists if I’m taking a flight or something, but other than that I just use data.

For me I don’t need 512GB of storage when I’ve got iCloud for my photos and I stream all my music off Amazon.

The main reason is, I refuse to pay £1299 for a phone too! I could think of much things to spend that additional £450 on if I’m brutally honest.

I only download new albums to the phone, because i know i'm gonna listen to them a couple of times. Otherwise i'm just streaming. Even while driving it has never been a problem. The Phone does a lot of precaching.

Pictures and Videos i just let iCloud handle. Don't seem to take much space. (Although i almost never make videos)

I'm currently at 30.9GB space used now on the new phone. Will likely climb to about 60GB until i replace it.
