Why is there a shortage of Techwoven cases?

I’m in Spain and there’s shortages too, I had a look at stores in France and it’s the same situation

Huge shortage in the US as well, no NY store has a pickup date earlier than December right now.

I have one on order, I think the estimated date is just before Thanksgiving, but I ordered it a couple weeks ago. I don't think they thought there would be such demand since the finewoven didn't really sell that well.

I have seen knockoffs on Ebay, I wonder how they are.

I needed a Sienna tech woven for my Pro, found one on Mercari for a reasonable price and it's on the way, Hedged my bet and happened to find one at the Apple Store over the weekend. One too many now. Off to eBay or the MR Marketplace I suppose

The techwoven are really nice... highly recommend

I am shocked that middle of November we still cannot order a new Tech Woven Case for the Pro Max without a month or longer delay. I have wanted the Sienna to go with my Cosmic Orange and still as of today, No one has them. I have had one ordered through Apples Amazon store for a month, was due to deliver today and I was notified from Amazon that they are still without a ship date.

I do not think I have seen such a case shortage before. It appears its for all Tech Woven colors except black.

Just crazy!!

I went through an identity crisis this year and for the first time in my life I returned my iPhone and got a different one. It was astounding to me that when my wife and I decided to initially upgrade from our 15 Pro Maxes - we couldn't walk out with a Tech Woven case because the Apple Store (and apparently none in the surrounding areas) had the cases.

2 weeks later when I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted - still the same situation.

Great cases, crazy difficult to find, even mid-November - even at the Apple Store just a block away from Apple's Starship HQ (went there myself in person).

Yeah I truly cannot understand how/why there is a shortage of this magnitude 2 months after launch. There is no way this many people are trying to buy them all at once, so leads me to wonder what the issue is. Frustrating as a consumer who just wants to buy one and 2 months later Apple, Best Buy, etc..... ALL sold out.

What's funny is that 17 Pro Maxes are starting to become widely available in stores. Even NYC has them -- the 5th Ave store has all Pro Max colors and all configuratiions available except for the 256GB orange Pro Max.

seems like a massive restock recently.

seeing the blue for 17 pro for example in nearly all stores in my state.
