Why did Apple not bring out a calculator for iOS 16 that the iPhone has?

And does anyone here know of a good calculator for the iPad because Apple will not bring out calculator for the iPad?

Also why does Apple not want to bring out Final Cut Pro to the iPad?

There is a calculator for ios16. I presume you mean bring one out for iPad os 16?
There's the problem, too many people use iOS16 to describe both iOS16/iPadOS 16. While a lot of calculator apps made for iOS work, it's annoying to see calculator GUI overly large because of such larger screen size of iPads.

Not sure why. They could've easily just copy and paste the iPhone calculator and make it a slideover app or a widget.
I think Apple wanted not to be accused of providing a free calculator that makes people not want to look at all the calculator apps for sale with ads in the App Store. ;)

Always thought why iPhone, Mac but not IPad?

The answer is a pop over window that you open from Control Centre, similar to Quick Note.

Maybe they're waiting to roll this functionality out to 3rd parties before rolling it out

They just got around to bringing the weather app to iPad this year. If we're lucky maybe next year a calculator app will happen.🤞

It needs the M2 to perform calculations instantly, just as Stage Manager needs M1 to run smoothly. Prepare your wallet for next gen iPad Pros.

Used to work for HP and used their calculators for years, RPN always seemed the better way of working.
I love RPN. It just makes sense. I wish HP were still making great calculators.

But at least we get great apps like PCalc and various HP emulator apps.
