Why is time travel gone in Watch OS 5?

This is infuriating. I used Time Travel every day. Multiple times a day. I am regularly on calls with people in different times zones. Was so convenient to quickly figure out what time it would be in London and NY at a given time in Sydney.

I guess not many people used it but why take away the option!!??

This! Was one of the best things about this device, for people who work in different time zones simultaneously or travel long distances for a living. I have three modular watch faces containing 3-4 time zones up to 13 hours apart and I could quickly plan my days and events (“oh, that’ll be 3:30 am for me.. I’ll pass”). So someone had a board meeting in California and now MY watch is broken. Replaced with some dopey AI that never works well outside San Francisco.

I've always wondered what 'focus group' apple use when deciding what features to add and keep

I can't think of anyone who wanted this feature removed, same as I can't imagine anyone ever said 'I want a really really thin phone with a battery that lasts one day"

As long as a phone lasts all day that’s all I care. I charge it every night regardless of the battery level.
