I think that 4,7" will not make the phone bigger, for me this is the perfect size for iphone. I think that apple will keep different sizes iphones, so customers will be able to choose :)

there is this great product apple still makes called the iPod, it comes in many shapes and sizes for activities such as running and cycling which will be much easier to carry and use.

as i've said 100x before.

THE 'C' MODEL WILL CONTINUE AS THE LOWER END, 4" SCREEN, AND THE HIGHER END MODEL WILL HAVE A BIGGER SCREEN.

I love how people state things as fact when nobody knows what Apple's plans are. Just because you typed it in caps doesn't mean its not speculation like all of the rumors flying around.

i'm not saying i know things, but quote me and show everyone when the next model is revealed.

you could very well be right or you could be way off and Apple could just kill the C line altogether. All I'm saying is you are writing it in a way that's like berating people and making it seem like its a guaranteed fact as if you had a conversation with Tim Cook and confirmed it.

Most people want a bigger screen. The simple fact is smartphones are used for content consumption, a bigger screen is simply better, esp since recent trend is to reduce bezels.

Of course there is a need for smaller more portable phones, and thats why there will always be an option to buy an older gen phone or more likely multiple models.

This is my main gripe with the current trend. If I want smaller, I'd have to make do with either an older generation model or one with worse specs. It's cool that there are large phones for those who want it but why not offer phones with high end specs in a smaller form factor? Heck, aside from the display, the retina iPad mini is just a smaller version of the iPad Air. Why not have an iPhone mini?

apple never discontinues a model this quickly.

the 'c' model will get the specs of the 5s, and the 6 will be brand new. they will then reevaluate the 'c' market in NA.

Apple is well aware of this, which is why like I said there will most likely be multiple models of the iPhone 6.

Also, esp in Apple world, specs don't really matter. You're not going to notice a slightly lower resolution in a 3.5/4" screen compared to full hd. Apple never sells on specs. But again, my guess is an updated 4" phone and a new 5" phone, both with the A8. There is no way Apple will ever bring back a 3.5" screen if that's what some people want.

While Apple might not sell based on specs alone, they still improve hardware in new iterations to better cope with new firmware and features. Granted, yes, I don't think we'll see a 3.5" 4:3 iPhone/iPod Touch going forward.

I compared my 5S to a Moto X at Bestbuy today and I could totally see my next iPhone having that 4.7" screen size.

In comparison the Moto X gave the best visualization of what the next iPhone's physical size will be should it have 4.7" as compared to a HTC ONE --- that phone has too much bezel on all sides, it definitely felt comfortable holding the Moto X and typing was not an issue either.

All In all I'm excited for that 4.7" screen but also looking forward to seeing if apple will bring another size higher than that.

Phablet size phones are a rather niche market but still an important segment. From my experience, all the people I know who have the Galaxy Note are incredibly happy with the big screen. I know I want a big screen iPhone if one ever comes out. I'll have no problems using a big screened phone. My sister on the other hand would hate using something that big as her hands are much smaller than mine.
