I'm fine with 2.0mp most standard phones have 2.0mp.

you don't really need a 5.0mp camarea.

the nano will not come out.

Well, to compete with other phones coming out of the market. Apple must respond by putting the new 5.0 MP camera onto their phones. I have some doubts about the iPhone Nano coming out (This early anyways) but maybe introduce it themselves rather than having the FCC again like the iPhone introduce it to us or the iPhone Nano coming out AT ALL.

As history shows, XSLN came out with cases for products that weren't even introduced yet and they were correct on the model. I would most likely lean on the side where the iPhone Nano would come out. I do not think people would risk their business and trust from customers to attempt to flame some rumors of the iPhone Nano.

iPhone Nano clearly has a target on a certain group of consumers, but clearly this product as far shown by rumors is not for you.

2.0MP is not okay with me, because I use my phone as a digi-cam daily. My dad has a D300 for family day trips and stuff, me however do not.

Biggest reason why I would hesitate, if I could buy the iPhone.

3.2 MINIMUM!! Autofocus needed, flash recommended.

And nano will not come out. +1

WWDC.

Because that's all they'll be releasing. Right. Sure.

And how does the Nehalem Mac Pro–a larger version with the fastest chips on the planet–fit into your equation?

Fits in very nicley...

Mac Pro --- changed the motherboard + CPU + RAM... INNOVATION? NO SIMPLY USING WHATS AVAILABLE...... what did apple invent in this mac pro thats different from the last..

for most people, "nano" means slim, becoz full-size iPhone is a little bigger than our normal phones...

but i'm really tired of the nano rumors, and i agree what we really need is iPhone Pro, the one with slider, joystick and better camera... right?

:apple:

^ Slider? Joystick? LOL :D

I wonder how they're going to deal with the screen resolution issues. I mean having 2 platforms seems kind of odd.

Just like how they have the large iPod and small iPod, and now also the Touch?

I don't get how people can't wrap their heads around this. Apple sell the iPod Shuffle that can play purchased music, but no apps. No apps on the Classic/Nano - just a handful of games.

It's comments like this that make me think some Apple fans, bizarrely, do not 'get' Apple at all.

There's not a cat in hell's chance of Apple ever introducing an iPhone that has moving mechanical parts like a slide-out keyboard or a joystick. It would go against every evolutionary step they've been doing in industrial design for the last decade.

I agree.

The other problem with all this speculation is the assumption that Apple wants to compete in the cell phone market. The truth is they are competing in the mobile computer platform market (that just happens to have a phone in it).

Then there are these camera feature requests such as flash and autofocus, both of which would consume power. People are complaining about battery life now.

So what's the point of the nano? You pay slightly less up front, for a smaller, less featured phone, and pay the same rate plan?

Minus the rate plan, isn't that what people said about the iPod mini and nanos when they were rumored? A smaller iPod, with less storage space. I clearly remember people saying "why in the world would I buy an 4GB iPod mini for $149 when I can get a 20GB iPod for $50 more..."...something like that.

Form factor? Pretty colours? I could be wrong - an iPhone nano could sell even with a mandatory data plan. But I maintain it would sell better without one...

It's funny how everytime a rumored product that has lots of evidence behind its back is being passed around in threads. People are just stubborn coming out the same reasons saying it isn't going to come out even though we proved those reasons wrong, please make the threads more productive. :D
