I think there's a strong possibility that they'll do this to comply with european legislation on battery recycling.

That legislation dictates that a proportion of devices have to have recyclable batteries by 2012!!
No rush for apple just yet

My question is, why does the "Buyer's Guide" section here say "Dont buy, updates soon"? Do they mean soon as in the next year....
