Proceed with restore. And I'm pretty sure Nermal is just playing around with you regarding photoshop. He's just trying to bring humor in to get you to laugh a little bit.
In all seriousness, if you don't use Photoshop then it's perfectly safe to delete all of the lines with "adobe" too (i.e. all but the first and last lines).
The DFU restore proceeded fine until after the phone rebooted, now itunes says "We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time.
Please try again later, or contact customer care."
And the iphone says "No SIM Card Installed Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate iphone."
What now?
any ideas? Why itunes is saying this?
Maybe it was not unlocked from the previous Service provider?
Decided to put ithe SIM into the phone to see if it would activate it. It started set up and I choose language, country, and connected to itunes. The phone must not be unlocked as iTunes says...
"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
This iPhone is not currently setup to work with carrier you're attempting to use. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked."
This is what it said after my friends did the jailbreak on the phone, then last week it all of a sudden connected properly so I figured that the unlock with Rogers Canada had gone through. Maybe I was too fast.
I gave the IMEI to G-Mo to check if it's unlocked.
Is it possible to undo the DFU restore? I'm guessing not. And now since it doesn't connect properly in itunes I can not upload my latest backup.
So now my phone is useless?
I have no other SIM to try it with.
In all seriousness, if you don't use Photoshop then it's perfectly safe to delete all of the lines with "adobe" too (i.e. all but the first and last lines).
Well apparently I was WAY too fast to assume that the unlock from Rogers Canada went through just because the phone started working properly with iTunes. I wonder why it did start working in iTunes.
Any suggestions what I can do now, since the phone just says "Connect to iTunes" (I guess it's still in the setup mode after the DFU) . And in iTunes it looks like I can't do anything since the screen just says the SIM card is not supported and to have the phone unlocked".
I would really like to transfer my last itunes backup of the phone onto it, so I can at least use it like it was before the DFU restore. Is this possible? I hope so.
Thanks for your help. I would be so much more frustrated if I didn't have all of you to ask.
