They're going the wrong way. Because Californians don't want to stay in California anyways. They want to sell their home in the Bay Area for 3 million and buy a home in Bend or Portland for only 1 million.

I'm not sure where hoodafoo is from, but Ventura is famous and popular with a storied past. It's a beautiful region of SoCal that has significant heritage and a great place of discovery to those that are not familiar with it.

For many of us Ventura is indeed worthy of recognition by Apple. I didn't see the name coming, but am happy that they choose it. Maybe the OP should jump on the Ventura Highway and go see for themselves.

I live in LA and every time I go to Santa Bubba, I don't ever give it one nano second's thought to stop by Ventura. What for?? It looks like a poor man's Will Rogers Beach

The desktop wallpaper is cheerful! So, I assume that Ventura is a cheerful place. Monterey looks so dismal.
This is EXACTLY what I'm worried about! People who don't know anything about Ventura are gonna think the place must be cool because Apple to named an OS after it and will flock there only to find out it's a borderline-ghost town and be really let down!
