The argument that OP shouldn't ask a question because you don't want to hear it is just patently absurd. Isn't that the very nature of a forum? And why wouldn't you use a forum to help make a tech buying decision? OP is SOLICITING INPUT. Who else is he going to ask? Grandma? His kids? His friends who maybe don't give a sh#t about smartphones?

-If you're a google apps user Android might be a good fit.
-If the size of your Thunderbolt doesn't bother you, Android.
-If you like haptic feedback, Android.

iTunes has improved a lot since you last used it. I would try using it again and see how you get on. If you can't stand the latest iTunes then you probably won't get on too well with the iPhone.

iTunes is junk, plain and simple. It just so happens it is one of the downsides of owning an iPhone. iTunes should be re-written from the ground up; it is an over bloated archaic pile of dung.

I went from a Blackberry to an iPhone, I skipped droids and from all Ive seen, heard and experienced, Im glad I skipped them. Ive used several droids, my girlfriend has the EVO 4G and it just feels like an all around turd compared to my iPhone.

On what base you call iTunes being junk n bloated? Does it heavy, slow, too complex to use with any iDevices?

I'd rather call it improved rather than bloated. And to be honest, can you find any piece of software, OS of any kind that hasn't been 'bloated' overtime? If we want a rich-featured and actively developed software, it's impossible to keep the slimness of it. And to be fair, all kind of software are bound to be bloated, unless you dont want updates?

You said you've owned every generation iPod touch, so what's there you need to be convinced on? How do you like using your iPod vs your Android phone? If you prefer using your iPod and dread using your Android, well then there's your answer. If you only like to use the iPod for fun/entertainment and prefer Android on a day to day basis, then stick with Android.

The user experience of the iPhone is basically identical to that of an iPod touch, except you can make calls, send texts and it's always connected to data (instead of just wifi). So as an iOS user already, you should already know if the iPhone is for you or not.

I just said it has improved a lot, not that it's good :p

It's still very laggy but a lot more bearable than it was years ago!
