Why so many say 4s is faster than 4?

I keep seeing posts about people saying the 4s is snappeir, faster, quicker ect ect but from what have seen with about 8 phones side by side is they are exactly the same. I own the 4s and my wife has a jailbroken 4 and every app and function loads at exactly the same time! Why are so many people saying this when it's clearly not true!

I have not found this at all. I have gone through every app and game on the phone and tested side by side. We have exactly the same apps and games but she has the 16gb and I have the 32gb. What are you guys using to test the load times and quickness of the apps because I can't notice a difference at all.

I'm trying to prove to my friend that the 4s is a better option over the 4 but I looked like a fool when I said it was faster but it's not at all. I listen to what people on here said and didn't test for my self.

Because it is.
Could you show me proff of this so I can show him. I have tried with 3 different 4s phones and none of them were quicker.

A4 processor vs A5 processor.

new technology bud.
I'm not doubting it's new tech. Is just not any faster from using them side by side. I could post a video of me testing both at same time but I'm sure there's plenty on line.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Have a look here for some benchmarks that show the speed improvements.

It could be that the apps you've looked at are not graphically intensive or optimised for multi core processors so won't show much of an improvement

I'm just going to agree with you. I bet your wife can argue with you though. however you want to see a difference try infinity blade 2 on both devices.

iPhone 4 is faster, anyone who thinks differently is an apple fanboy.

My wife thinks its funny because I keep telling her how much better my phone is with siri, more GB, faster CPU ect ect yet Siri never works, faster CPU seems to run programs/games at the same speed. I thought hers may have been a lot slower due to less MHz and being jailbroken because all I see on here is people say jaibreaking makes the ip laggy!

well it is a lot faster from my experiences. it all depends on what you're using it for as well but with games and graphically intensive games there is a big difference.

I don't really play to many games like that. The only ones I have tried are infinity blade 2 and GTA3 both of which I didn't like to play on the iPhone at all. Didn't really even like them on the iPad to be honest. I'm prefer pc gaming. But both them games run identical on both phones.

I notice a difference especially if you open both the 4s/4 multitasking menu and start closing the apps. With the 4s they close faster than you can hit them, with the 4 it like 1 a second a app.

OP, I'm on your side with this issue. Especially if the iPhone4 has the fakeclockup app in Cydia, then I think it would totally blow away the 4s for everyday, PRACTICAL things. But in terms of theoretical, heavy usage speed, you can't dismiss the A5 vs A4 improvement.
