Depending on the lighting, it can look either silver or gold, 2-in-1, the best of both worlds, two birds with one stone, not to mention how gorgeous the black display looks against the starlight. *chef's kiss*

It could become Apple's new classical color.
Most people consider that a bad thing, as people choose silver or gold. This makes it the worst new color.

A lot of people I talk to with gold Series 5 and 6 are really disappointed there is no gold model now. They chose black instead.

I have a Gold AW6 and was debating whether to upgrade, and to what. I actually really like the aluminum Starlight. I still have an old AW4 lying around that I may trade in for $100 and get the aluminum starlight (I already have the starlight sports band so I can get another band).

TBH if it's the same Starlight as the iPad mini 6 that I have, it's waaaaaay closer to silver than it is to gold, or even "silver with a hint of gold" the way I've seen it described. IMO if you didn't know better, you'd think it was just silver. At least on the iPad.

I have a starlight sports band, and it is basically a light tan. So I think Starlight on the watch must be different and look closer to ”champagne”

Toyota offered a color called Desert Dune Metallic on 1996-2002 4Runners that was similar. Cool new color for the S7 watch..

I would think the metal on an iPad is more likely to match the metal on the watch than is a strap named the same color. But we’ll see I guess.

Months ago I was sure to get the nike silver. No silver today, I ordered starlight.
But I have a baaad feeling that I will be totally unlucky with this color.
I will see. I will try.

Couldn't agree more. I have a strong feeling I'm not going to like it at all. I hope I'm wrong. I'm picking my order up at the store, so I hope I can exchange it if need be.

The starlight iPhone 13 I saw in person last week was the same, mostly silver. Yet the YouTube reviews for the iPad mini seem beigey to me when placed against silver. I can’t decide until I see the watch in person.

I really like Starlight. If I was upgrading to Series 7 this year, I would likely get that color.

The white iPhone 12 must have sold extremely well for Apple to include that color in new products.

So my Mrs has a silver S3 with that off white/grey band can't remember the colour, starlight with same band as in photo above would be closest now? Want to surprise her.

Every time I’m more and more convinced that I’ll end up buying the starlight iPhone 13 mini.

My only whish is that Apple would extend that color to iPad Pro and MacBook Air. I think it would look classy
