I don’t know if it’s the best but it was the only choice possible if like me you didn’t want green ,blue or red . And not pay a premium with SS or Ti just for the color.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy with my 41 Starlight.

Only got starlight as it was in stock and I am impatient. Would have equally hit any colour last year it was the product red. It’s get covered by a bumper in my case.

Nice, that’s an awesome combo. It was tough for me to decide between the Milanese and the Leather, but I’m not a leather guy. Here are some more of my Starlight.

IMO, the disappearance of aluminum silver and space grey for S7 watches makes matching watch bands much more difficult.
Starlight and Midnight are fine colours, but are so much more limited in finding bands that don't clash.

Midnight is just as versatile as Space Gray. In fact, some of my bands actually look better with Midnight. You really can't go wrong mixing black with other colors.

But that’s the issue…it‘s not really black. The hint of blue in Midnight, becomes a challenge when you pair it up with some blue coloured straps. With Space Grey, any blue strap would work.

I don't know where you got that, but that is certainly not the case! Blue looks amazing with Midnight. Here are three different blues as examples.

I pick up the Apple Watch Nike Starlight aluminum case at the Apple Store the other day, it's an upgrade from the Apple Watch Hermès Series 5 in stainless steel.

I have too many random color bands to switch from black watches. Silver was the only other viable option, but I do like the new starlight .

I've got to admit, Starlight is growing on me. My wife's starlight phone actually looks quite nice. I still would have preferred silver, but it seems like this is now the most neutral colour for the aluminium S7s. Still torn between a starlight S7 or a SS silver S6 though.

On a sidenote, Apple really needs to work on getting the device colours shown on their site to look closer to real life. So far, none of the colours of devices I've seen in real life really match the colours shown online (aside from the laptops).

Starlight looks awesome to me. Here’s a YouTuber wearing it. I’m sold..

Wish I knew what band he was wearing - the lugs look like a great match. My only beef with the starlight is that the silver lugs don't match well, and it annoys me. It's why I'm loving the leather link and solo loops - no metal shows anywhere on the bands, so they look more seamless (at least IMO).

I ended up getting the 45mm Starlight after going to the store and looking at all choices even SS, and I love it. I do worry about how it will work with silver lugs as well, but so far it goes with every band that I have tried. I am coming from a series 4 44mm sliver aluminum as well but I have been using leather bands and they go with Starlight. I bet we start seeing some Starlight clasp, and lugs and bands soon. The aftermarket band makers will jump on it. I also got the Nike version for the first time, with the khaki/olive gray band (goes perfect with it). I love having more watch faces that the Nike watch comes with.

Here you go:

And they have lugs that match the series 7 colors. For example, if you want a starlight lug, you can choose it.
