it‘s not beige if you call it starlight 😄 But will I buy a starlight? Yes probablyThis tracks as it's just shiny beige
That is good to hear. I waited to order until today, after I had seen reviews and photos here, so mine won’t be coming for awhile.Got my starlight today. It much much nicer that what I expected. Very light champagne but definitely, for me , rather on the silver side. Actually my silver AL looks cheap compared to it.
I’m very happy with it , and it goes with all my bands 😃
To me that would be a negative as I’m not fond of either color. I can see your point though.Depending on the lighting, it can look either silver or gold, 2-in-1, the best of both worlds, two birds with one stone, not to mention how gorgeous the black display looks against the starlight. *chef's kiss*
It could become Apple's new classical color.
Yesterday evening I got my 7 in the store. The color is more goldish than I hoped and my feelings are very mixed up.Months ago I was sure to get the nike silver. No silver today, I ordered starlight.
But I have a baaad feeling that I will be totally unlucky with this color.
I will see. I will try.
I haven't seen it in person but after seeing more real photos and videos I'm no longer in a rush to see it. It is not the color for me. I think I'll hold on to my 5 for another year as the 7 isn't enough of an upgrade to spend the extra for SS or titanium (which itself is a bit yellow) for a "color" I'd like better.I had to return my starlight series 7. Didn‘t like the goldish undertone. I hope apple switches back to silver aluminium next year.
That’s so great. I hope I love mine too…I ordered the Nike with the magic ember band but it’s not expected for 4 to 5 more weeks. 😕. I like how that combo looks in this YouTube videoGot my starlight watch with a starlight band. I am so in love with it!!!
I never liked Apple Watch in silver aluminum. I thought it looked extremely cheap and plasticky.
Starlight, on the other hand, is the new Silver Aluminum 2.0 with golden undertones. Kinda reminds me of Rose Gold (which I hated btw) but dialed down 95%. I think Apple nailed it.
How is it going with the starlight color? I have to admit I get used to it. No more missing my red from the watch 6.Couldn't agree more. I have a strong feeling I'm not going to like it at all. I hope I'm wrong. I'm picking my order up at the store, so I hope I can exchange it if need be.
I bought the starlight today, it was either that or green. I went to the Apple store to see them .. unfortunately they were inside a glass display so you couldn't even touch them. The starlight looked nice, the green I couldn't really tell if it was green or black , Surely if I had it in my hand I could tell but not under that display glass. I asked if they have any in stock to buy (either green or starlight) and they said no so I walked out and I went to a department store and they had them on proper display . I decided I prefer the starlight because I like better the starlight strap that comes with it.. I do love green as one of my favourite colours but I wasn't very keen on the strap colour ) it would have been better a darker green) and besides I really want a pink strap and it wouldn't go so nice with the green (almost black) watch. Luckily they had starlight in stock and I bought it. I'm very happy with the colour , it's a creamy light Champagne colour, better in person than in pics
When I saw it in the store I didn't like the Starlight aluminum at all, because it looked too beige and not silver enough. But now I realize it was due to the lighting and also because it was paired with a Starlight strap which made it appear skewed towards a different tint.
I received my preorder last week and with the midnight strap it looks silver to me! Looks great with this combination. I also like the dark colour contrast on the crown.
Those first 2 pics make it look a lot more gold than it is for sure. It definitely looks very silver on your arm. My daughter has it, and it’s really a great color. My only gripe is that I have silver hardware on all my bands, and up against the watch, it doesn’t look as seamless as on a silver.
I was able to cancel my Starlight order and pick up a SS silver instead on release day.How is it going with the starlight color? I have to admit I get used to it. No more missing my red from the watch 6.
Ha! Now it looks silver. I love the versatility. Here are a couple more photos under daylight.
