Well, I read the thread as well as several reviews on the web. I decided that for my new MBP, I might as well just get the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, since I'll be using this thing at the library and in classes a lot. I would rather not lug around a bigger mouse (I generally prefer larger mice, since I have big hands...I think the MX Revolution and the old MX700 were perfectly sized, if not a tiny bit smaller than I would like). Anyways, I got the Mighty Mouse so that I could just throw it in my bag if I was knew I would be at the library for several hours. I love the fact that it works with the built in Bluetooth, so all I really need to carry is the mouse. No adapter or cables or anything like that.
So far, I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. It's fairly comfortable for such a small mouse, and the Left, Middle, and Right click differentiation works perfectly for me. I've yet to miss a right click. I think it's because I tend to use my index finger for the scroll ball, so it takes it off the left part of the mouse when I want to right click.
My only gripe is how difficult it is to squeeze the side buttons. I've got plenty of strength in my fingers (saxophone player) and I think it's ridiculous how hard it is to get the buttons to activate. Is there any way to change the sensitivity, or maybe open up the mouse and loosen up whatever it is that's holding those buttons in place? I have it set to display my Dashboard, which I think is pretty neat, but I don't think I'll be using the side buttons much until I figure out how to activate them without repositioning my hand and squeezing the mouse to the point where I think I might break it.
Also, I was kind of hoping that I would be able to use the side buttons separately. I really miss having back and forward buttons for when I'm web browsing.
Aside from the side buttons, the mouse is great. The scroll ball is as good as any wheel (except maybe the wheels on the MX Revolution, but I wouldn't expect Apple to implement something like that, since they're not a dedicated input device manufacturer).
