Shouldn't 3rd party manufacturers have the cases available for purchase right now?
Dbrand has skins available, but that's all I've seen that's specific to the MacBook Neo so far.
I think the author means this kind of case

Just your typical MR obsessing.Protective case? It's made of Aluminium!
Are people using theirs to play skeet or something?!
I will never forget I got my air m1 so excited, dropped my phone on the lid the next day and dented it haha, that dent annoyed me for the 2 years I owned it. I understand why people want to protect their investment. Im just being really careful with my new Neo!Protective case? It's made of Aluminium!

Same. I don’t case my iPhone or my car and they are just fine.Protective case? It's made of Aluminium!

Weaken? How so?I avoid hard cases for MacBooks. It weakens the hinge overtime.
Weaken? How so?
Apple engineers their hinges perfectly for the weight of the display. When you add the case you add extra weight and it weakens the hinge over time.
Woolnut makes excellent leather lined sleeves.I'd like a nice sleeve but they're's not many that I can find that look nice but also good value I've been burnt buying the cheap crap from Amazon before.
So true!Use it naked and enjoy it. As cheap as it is, if you drop it and it breaks, getting a new one (if you don't have AC+) isn't a big deal compared to the cost of a MBP or even an iPhone Pro / Max.
And if you need to put it in something when going mobile... I got the #11 option horizontal with strap and piggyback bag. I put the Neo in a Woolnut leather wool-lined sleeve and then place in the Waterfield bag, which makes for a snug fit. It is compact and offers good protection and looks nice as well.So true!
In the past I'd get a clear hard covers for all my "expensive" Macbooks and iPad Pros.
But now that you mentioned how inexpensive it cost, why not carry it naked ???
