Why there is no protective hard case for the Neo?

I read and watched a video on how a hard case is a disadvantage for macbooks and i'm convinced now not to go for it. would a soft silicone shell be better?

No, except to protect against scratches. Look at a bike helmet. Which ones are made of soft silicone?

In that case, skins and wraps might be better because they're on all the time.
