since Gawker's page layout update, I stopped going there. Takes up wayy too much CPU/RAM resources for a webpage to load.

only gawker site i like is LifeHacker.

Let's take this a bit further and start the first MacRumors forum posts. I predict 90% of them will be "I hate it." Of those, 75% will be posted while they're packing up their tent before heading out the door to go camp at the Apple Store.

They don't deserve the traffic. Basically they put that up now to capture as much SEO value as possible. No integrity there whatsoever.

Is Gizmodo banned for life from Apple events due to the iPhone 4 incident? Or is it an amount of years?

Gizmodo is not banned from CES, but Brian Lam (Editor-in-Chief for Gizmodo) is banned for life since he was the one who pulled that prank, so maybe Apple will allow gizmodo to return to an Apple event in the future if Brian were to leave Gizmodo (since he was the one that bought the iPhone 4 and then reported about it, and took it apart).

I used to read giz on a daily basis, but their writing has gotten worse. I also only ever go to lifehacker now too. At least their writers aren't morons and they actually have a good writing style. Plus lifehacker actually posts worthwhile articles.

Brian Lam left Gizmodo back in June this year, it was Jason Chen who wrote the iPhone 4 story, and it was Richard Blakeley who was banned from CES.
