Looks low for a 1 TB. MBP seen 2000 MB/s on 512 GB.

Definitely seems low compared to last year's model. But it's acceptable to me. As a comparison, here's my 2019 4tb mbp 15":

Current MBA (7 W) = replacement for rMB, but with better capability to handle bursty loads with the fan rather than heat pipe
Current base 2TB3 MBP (15 W) = replacement for 2017 and earlier MBA
Current 4TB3 MBP = The real pro

The 2017 MBA's processor is from even earlier. I think they only updated the SSD during that iteration.
