Three reasons I switched in 2007:
1. I Wanted to know why everyone was switching to mac
2. I love how simple it was to use the OS
3. And not to forget the metal case. At the time, it was different.

Current reasons I still use the mac:
1. OSX Snow Leopard (Super reliable and not riddled with allowing junk to pop up all the time.)
2. Backlit keyboard. I know, I know; not the best reason, but it's a dream come true when typing at night.
3. I love Final Cut Express. Cant use it on Windows. And I'm glad.

Minus #3 this is why this will be my first Mac, though still a little skeptical on how easy OSX is to use being I am an advanced windows user.

I am looking forward to the 8+ battery life as well as the sleek design of the laptop as you cant find a design like that unless you pay a premium (Sony).
