It’ll be already November, you already missed 2 months of iPhone experience, and with problems with supplies, the chances of you possessing the new iPhone on launch day is slim. By the time you get it, the new iPhone will already be ready by September. This is Apple’s phone for the next generation, there’s no way the current bezel design will be around next year.

Take it from me, as a guy who is telling you to wait for the next iPhone because this is technically a first gen of its own. And I promise you that I’m not just saying this to persuade you guys not to buy it just to make my preorder much easier on October 27. I am looking out for all of you and for me.

Very noble of you

lol not sure if this is serious or a joke to try and stir people up. But I'll bite.... I haven't missed any time of iPhone experience because I've been happily using my 7 plus.... supply constraint are based on rumors right now it may or may not be as bad as they are saying..... even if people don't get their phones until like January thats still 9 months before a new phone release (9 months is a long time in the tech world) I get a new phone every year so I'll try this one and I'll get next years version..... You have no idea what apple is going to do with bezel designs next year, stop making claims as if they are factual. Ok I think I covered everything... But I do thank you for not getting the iPhone as it will mean more available for me.... Although I have a sneaking suspicion we may see your name in the "waiting for my phone to ship" threads

Definitely not a bad thing to wait for round 2. If you've been with Apple long enough, you know version 1 is always perfected (or close to) for version 2. But if you want the latest and greatest, you gotta hop on the midnight band wagon and order asap.

Why I should not buy the iPhone X…

Why I should not buy the iPhone X…

Camera bump!

Thanks for the reminder!

This is absolutely hilarious. Nobody's missed anything - you're just trying to justify skipping it for yourself by projecting onto others. The X will sell well, will live up to the pitch, and many of us will be preordering on the 27th.

I'm getting next year's phone too. 12 month Apple Upgrade Program, why are you not on it?

My wife missed an entire year of the iPhone 5 when we bought her one in 2013.

She didn't seem to care…

I do mobile app and mobile web testing. It's my profession. I literally have clients requiring i have this device to test. I can't wait for a new version.

Wont really matter since I will most probably upgrade again next year.

I think folks should buy whatever they want. However, it does look like there is going to be a long wait maybe into next year for some that want the iPhone X. It didn't strike my fancy from the get go, but I am darn sure glad I got my iPhone 8 Plus. It has been pure joy for me coming from a iPhone 6 Plus. I really like the Apple Watch Series 3, but again I didn't get the LTE version. LTE on a watch is just not something I need because I usually always have my phone. I do like the GPS though!

oh, OF COURSE you’re not trying to make easier for YOUR preorder! My, my....SO considerate of you!

Now, let’s see if I can be more convincing: “Folks, you don’t really want to be bothered with the usual mayhem that comes with an iPhone model change (remember the launch of the iPhone 6, and those mile-long lines of resellers from a certain country that made it near-impossible for regular customers to get just one for themselves?). Be sensible, and pick yourself up and easily available iPhone 8 or 8+. Leave the iPhone X to crazy early adopters like me who will probably stay up all night on the eve of October 27, and then deal with all the quirks that come with a first-gen product. I’ll be happy to report all the bugs to Apple, so that you won’t have to deal with them in Version 2 next year.”

If they made the camera sit flush with the housing it would be a ****** camera.
Below is one example of 99% of the photos in my camera roll.

I don't need a bazillion MP camera so my wife can examine the inside of a product before telling me which one to bring home.

Don’t worry about others spend their money..

But what about dual ois? ZOMG!
And a wider aperture on the zoom lens. I don't have a lot of use for portrait mode on the selfie camera. But, i can see that being a benefit to the narcissists who might purchase the X.

I'm sure the photo enthusiasts will enjoy... and that's totally cool. I'm like eyoungren in that I don't need a bazillion MP camera either.

I only mentioned the dual ois because I had a guy earlier calling me jealous and looking to justify my 8 Plus purchase and after I mentioned the fact that it shares the same processor and storage as the X anyway and I'm not exactly sure what it is I'm supposed to be jealous about he brought up the dual ois and wider aperture.

Throw in the OLED, face ID and animojis and you'll have 5 things I don't care about. Maybe it's just me but I generally don't buy things that have features I don't care about.

You have quite a few insinuations and projections on this iPhone really without any evidence. Aside from that, what were you in hopes of my posting this thread, influencing A handful of forum members to take your word literally? I don't see the practicality of what you're referring to, even if you were to be right in some respects.

For those who pre-order rather quickly on October 27, have a strong chance of receiving the iPhone with an appropriate amount of time.
