Why you shouldn’t buy the iPhone X

I only mentioned the dual ois because I had a guy earlier calling me jealous and looking to justify my 8 Plus purchase and after I mentioned the fact that it shares the same processor and storage as the X anyway and I'm not exactly sure what it is I'm supposed to be jealous about he brought up the dual ois and wider aperture.

Throw in the OLED, face ID and animojis and you'll have 5 things I don't care about. Maybe it's just me but I generally don't buy things that have features I don't care about.

Yeah having a better camera and a better display is dumb. I don’t care about those features.

Disagree. That doesn't make Those features "Dumb." Having a better camera and a better display are integral parts of what we see Visually and use everyday with the camera. Especially the camera upgrades being personal for most and how it records the environment around us.

You Don't have to care about those features, and that's your prerogative, but it doesn't make either one of those two features Dumb. It's just your anecdotal opinion doesn't Fit the narrative of the importance of at least one of those features.

Hahaha this is hilarious!

Many of us are on yearly upgrade plans, which mean we can get a new phone every year. So why would we need to wait for the next gen when we'll get that one too? lool

I may be wrong but I think he was being sarcastic.

Anyway, I half agree with you. A better camera is a feature that is touted almost every year when the update is announced. For most people, including myself, the improvements won't even be noticed. On the other hand, the display upgrade is a rare one and, in my opinion, reason enough in itself to upgrade.

I need your skill for pre ordering the X. I just ordered the Matte Black at 3:01 and still couldn’t get it launch day! My 7 plus was the first iPhone since the first iPhone back in ‘07 that I couldn’t get my hands on on launch day! I ended up reserving on the Sunday at an Apple store and picking up in store. It was so disappointing lol.

I would say it's dependent on how often someone upgrades to actually appreciate Camera/display improvements and from which model iPhone. If somebody upgrades annually, perhaps they won't notice camera incremental improvements. Which is not expected camera upgrades drastically change every year. But in the case of the OLED display, then yes, I find that to be significant in the sense that Apple Is offering something other than an LCD display after all these years.

Reading back through these post, I actually think you're correct. The fact that all the responses and OP never replied to any of them, given their initial thread topic.

OP does have a point, I will end up paying an extra installment fee on my 7plus because of the delay on the X. If next years iphone releases “on time”, I will have had my X for less than 12 months and would be required to pay extra to be upgrade eligible.

Of course I think Apple and the carriers will adjust next year's upgrade by doing something for the X people or they will change their schedule for premium phone release to November.

True you do pay another month. Course another way to look at it is you us d it another month rent to own kinda thing. Do you drink Starbucks? Can always think of it in those terms 15 Starbucks.

As long as it isn’t an issue next year I’m ok, but if they release X2 in Sept and I have to wait two months or make two months payments I’ll have an issue. I get that they only promised every year but hopefully they will have a deal to make their best (arguably) customers from being left out for two months next round.
