Isn't there a mode called Wifi plus LTE? LTE is supposed to kick in whenever the wifi signal is too slow. I remember seeing it in a beta somewhere...

It got pulled but looks like some remnants of the code/function could be causing this.

This may be an iOS counting issue. I was shocked to see that my cellular usage in my iPhone's settings is showing 1.3GB received, after I re-set the statistics YESTERDAY. No way, no how.

I logged in to verizonwireless.com, and it's telling me I've used 31.4MBs, which is a lot more like it.

Nonetheless, something to keep an eye on...it always seems like I blow through my 2GB iPad plan super quickly too, so maybe there is some foul play out there.

I woke up with around 200mb used in a day. Was on Wi-fi all afternoon. Got a text warning me im going over my limit. I check and I see an extra 200mb added. Wtf mang:confused::eek:

I can definitely tell its LTE cause its so fast. But the Wi-fi signal icon shows not LTE.

Go into your settings and turn LTE and Data off when you are using wifi if you want to make sure that you're using wi-fi. Easy solution until the problem is fixed, if it is a problem at all.

Wasn't there old threads about the 4S and incorrect data use? It ended up being when the account logged the data, not time of use, I think. If you own any smartphone on a 200mb plan, first sorry but WTF, like having a fast new car with one gallon of gas every month, second leave data off.

Verizon and Apple set this up as a way for Apple to re-pay Verizon for making them wait so long to get the iPhone
