I will try the pay version and report later, i already brought the steam windows version months ago.

Now, I tried the steam mac version, it is really good. I can confirm the pirvated mac version is unplayable.

Thanks! A good reason why buying the real version is always better than a pirated version. We can also offer support too :)

Will this game run on Retina resolution with the 750m? :p

Yes you can, but only on the 750m MBP the 650m just doesn't have enough VRAM to cope. You might need to turn off MSAA on the more complex levels but then again at Retina you don't need MSAA :)

You obviously can't run at Retina on the Intel IrisPro MBP machines as that card is a lot slower. You can play but you will need to play at a more sensible resolution :)

The Mac version supports Keyboard/Mouse and over 100+ gamepads from the 360 to the all versions of the Playstation pads from PS1 to PS4. I don't know of pad that we can't support as long as it has enough buttons :)

Thanks for the response - so it works with console gamepads? do they require specific software to work or just connect via BlueTooth?

What about the Wii U Controller Pro?

What about the Wii U Controller Pro?

360 requires third party drivers the rest just need to be connected via USB (or BT in the case of the Playstation 3).

Wii U Controller Pro doesn't sync with the Mac as far as I know, once it does then I am pretty sure we can get it working.

Nice thanks.

Am considering picking it up since my only console is a wii U and wouldn't mind a different game now and then.

I just picked this up, even though i don't have a controller. I guess I'll have to live with mouse and keyboard.

It downloaded 20 minutes ahead of schedule after about 5 hours - can anyone confirm the install size of 13.88 GB? I haven't opened it yet.

I just hope it downloaded ok.

IN TERMS OF GRAPHICS, PEOPLE;

The game is great, and the graphics are bar-none. Of course, you need a pretty powerful Mac to max it. My brothers 2013 rMBP 13" could run it on 'medium' to 'high', but not super fast. Of course, that's on an integrated GPU.

I played it on Windows, and a GTX 760 could max it (with hair simulation called TressFX- which is absent from the Mac version), which is about equivelant to the 770m/780m in newer Macs. Though Iris Pro should run it fine, but definitely not with any heavy AA or anything.

So, pretty much anything mid-range 2011 and on. My 2011 15" MBP can run it on 'medium'

Enjoy!

Thanks again, can't wait to give it a spin!

HAd a decent go at this now, loving it so far.

In latest level though, I just got a graphical glitch that sends part of a model high into the sky. It's not in a hilarious fashion though, and is still there after I quit and restart.

Edit: I loaded a previous save and it didn't happen so it seems fine now.

The glitch happened again. Doesn't really affect gameplay, just some weird polygons extending off into the sky. Didn't hinder me from completing the game 100%.

Other than that, a good port, ran smoothly for me for the most part. Now looking into other Feral Interactive ports...

That's a cross platform shader that can go crazy, it only happens after you have completed the area and have returned to it. It was never tracked down on Windows and although we fixed a few other PC bugs that one always evaded us!

Yes, that sounds about right. I do find it amusing that you are aware of it, but can't figure it out. I guess sometimes bugs are really elusive, huh?

If you did track it down, would you patch it?

Anyway, considering my next Mac game, now that I feel pretty happy with playing stuff like this on my Mac....

Yes, you have thousands of shaders dynamically generated and a few million lines of code. Added to that changing one thing can effect the rest of the engine means sometimes it is hard to find then fix.

When the issue is also in the PC release then it's more complex as you know the issue wasn't fixed the first time which might mean it was very tricky or any fix had unexpected and bad side effects :)

Yep if we find a fix we always patch it. :)

Well, hope you find it :)

I just bought Deus Ex, and hope I have an equally fun experience.
