This is not injustice to the people who are making bank out of this… apparently.

When China’s wage level reaches parity with the West, things will change.
The only people "making bank" out of China are the rich 1%. Workers in the West are the ones losing out.

This fear mongering has been going on for 120 years (vacillating of course), and the end of civilization catastrophes have yet to materialize. On the contrary, fossil fuels have lifted humanity and provided the means to adapt to the earth’s climate - whatever it may be.
fest mongering? Do you think this is an instant process? We have measurable negative effects. Such as more extreme weathers. Such as floods causing damages for billions that we wouldn’t need to pay for, more common cold and heat spikes damaging the power grids.

Increase the global temperature, harming our crops and causing more crop failures.

we already used fissile fuels to improve our civilization. The have had the ability to almost completely eliminate coal, gas and oil usages in the west with the exception to cars.
We can’t unfortunately stop using them now but we must do it as fast as possible. Use nuclear energy, solar and wind.
export these technologies to poor areas so they won’t need to pollute the air with smog.

we will face a growing climate refugee crisis and water problems.
We are a frog slowly boiling our self’s as we don’t notice it untill it’s too late.

we have the chance untill people became afraid of nuclear power
It is foolish to abandon fossil fuels now, and the least fortunate in the world today will be the most impacted by that decision.

It’s not foolish. We will be forced to live with the consequences ether way. It’s just a question of how many degrees you want tot sake it in ether way. The scientific consensus have existed for over 100 years now. Fossile fuels will not last forever and we won’t live a very comfortable life in the future if the median global temperature rices in the same speed as it does today.

Really? So a naturally occurring element in air is a pollutant? Might want to rethink that definition.
Is nitrogen a pollutant? Argon? I’m pretty sure you can’t breathe those exclusively and live.
If CO2 really is a pollutant, we should rid the atmosphere of it at once! Though I’m not sure the plants will be very happy, and if the plants aren’t around anymore, kiss your a-s goodbye.

CO2 IS a pollutant, and can be deadly, but it also occurs naturally. Removing CO2 from the environment would be impossible, but stopping processes that create massive amounts of CO2 is a fantastic idea. People are surprised to discover that you can be poisoned, and die, by drinking too much water. I remember kids in science class in elementary school being shocked that the air we breath is mostly nitrogen, and that 'nitrogen narcosis' is deadly for scuba divers.

Any change from stasis that is unanswered by nature is a danger to the planet. Ozone (O3) production, and ironically it's depletion in the upper atmosphere, is a huge problem, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, SO2, etc, are as well.

Fossil fuels don't spontaneously combust, so to say that fossil fuels don't pollute is insanity. To propose yet another fossil fuel plant to do *anything* is insanity, but when has humanity actually worked meaningfully to save itself? Coal, and other fossil fuels are an easy reach for addressing problems that could be dealt with in a much less harmful way, but the 'power industry' is wed to what they can get cheaply, damn the long term costs. People making those bad choices aren't likely to be alive when the poop hits the fan, and by then, it's STILL cheaper to 'kick the can' than fix the problem.

If China declared war on pollution like they seem to be ready to declare on the rest of the world, they really could reverse their long and short term problems. It IS possible. The pandemic response, lock downs, and incredible decline in human activity indisputably proves that WE are killing our planet, and we CAN fix it. We CAN save ourselves...

Pretty sure the world is coming to an end.

Eventually, yes. Asteroid, war, virus, alien invasion, who knows. NOTHING lasts forever, and even time will come to an end, or so some researchers believe.

Ask one 'if time will end'. It's a question that surprisingly divides many intelligent people. If 'time' is local, and there is no 'local', time ends. Makes sense to me. Hopefully it won't happen until I am long gone from the solar system, bequeathing my atoms back to the collective.

Settle down bro. It was a joke… ;)
