er.....i wouldnt call it a disaster....in my case you flick wifi off and on and its instantly fixed, and only happens every now and then.

In my case, it would sometimes happen five or six times in the course of 15-20 minutes. Far more than "every now and then", to my mind.
That said, since moving to El Capitan public beta, wi-fi performance has been rock solid.
