WIFI Photos from Canon to Mac

The USB cable is plenty fast for my needs as you have been told many times. I tried the WIFI transfer and its DOG slow and besides there is no way to select the photos to import into photos, as the WIFI just auto transfers my entire SD card to the pictures folder.

Is a card reader really necessary?
Many in this board think that a card reader is just as good as bread and butter in photography and do not take you seriously if you choose to use a USB cable instead. I am gonna argue that they are wrong. Apple does not think a card reader is entirely necessary as their latest iMac just released...forums.macrumors.com

It is, so what was the purpose of asking how to transfer photos from the canon to the mac through wifi if you already knew the answer? or did we misinterpret the question?

Correct. It takes seconds just to transfer one jpeg over airdrop, so trying to transfer dozens to hundreds of RAWs over wifi won’t be convenient. For this reason, I have never used the Wi-Fi transfer feature on any camera I’ve had.
Airdrop? No Mr. Powershot is not equipped with this feature that is only available on apple products.
I DID NOT know the answer until I just tried it today. Strange why transferring photos from iPhone to Mac via airdrop is much faster.
I use a USB cable which is plenty fast, with the exception of high quality video. But since I shoot in regular HD on my camcorder the cable is fast enough.
