My Wi-Fi is significantly better on my X than it was on my 6.

6 had 1x1 antenna for wifi, that means 433mbps on 802.11ac.
And regular old LTE.

X has 2x2 for wifi, meaning 866mbps on ac.
And MIMO for LTE Advanced

Just to report back.

Even though my iPad had the higher speeds for a while after the iPhone lost them, it did go down to the lower speeds and never recovered. But my laptop stayed at the higher speeds the entire time. Give it take 170mbps. I guess maybe something with the lease of thenip on the router or something could have caused it. Who knows.

I started researching the router and found a couple people mention they had the same issue and it started with a newer firmware so I started downgrading firmware one version at a time.

I got 2 versions back and the speeds are back to the way they should be. Finally.

I had also tested using my daughters iPhone 7+ and an iPad Air we have. It is just strange that it appears only iOS devices were impacted.

But either way, I am back. Sorry for the false alarm on the phone itself.
