I think we should vote wether the WiFi toggle in the control center should be configured to turn the chip off completely or to only disconnect from a network.. or just choose with 3D touch what to do.

Petition? Seriously?

I think this new behaviour is a quicker way of achieving what we want to do - disconnect from WiFi. If we want to completely switch off, there is then the Settings menu. However, 3D Touch should solve this issue that simple tap disconnects and deep press enables options to completely switch off or just does completely switch off.

It changed for the better and now makes way more sense. You can always turn wifi off in settings (via settings icon shortcut).

The main reason the WiFi toggle came to control center (finally) is so we wouldn’t have to go to the settings and disable it there. That’s the point LOL..

Are you going to protest outside Apple's Spaceship Campus with placards etc? For every 50 people (in the real world and not in the forum) that want it one way, 50 want it the other. Deal with it or find another mobile phone.

That's intolerant of others' views, and if you aren't offended, then I'll be offended that you didn't take offense. All businesses that don't boycott MrGimper are equally guilty and every celebrity is obligated to speak out on this issue or otherwise be appropriate labeled and shunned.

;)

Lol, vote on Macrumors to try to change a behavior in the final beta. Suurrrreeeee.

Some will like it some wont (WAY more than who vote; ten of millions). Petitions with a few hundred people on MR voting wont do a dang thing.

I’m in favor of 3D Touch. While I’m not the petition-starting type, I’m also in favor adding an Auto-Brightness toggle to the display slider in Control Center. Currently you can 3D Touch the brightness slider and toggle Night Shift on/off, it would be nice to see a toggle for Auto-Brightness as well (instead of hunting for Easter eggs in General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations, which is precisely where I would NOT think to look for the Auto-Brightness toggle).

At first the new behavior bothered me a lot. But then I realized that 99% of the time I disable wifi or bluetooth is to prevent the connection to one particular device or wifi network, which is exactly what the new behavior does.

But yes 3D touch would make everyone happy

Exactly what I’m trying to say. And if they don’t listen, even the smallest group of people, they’re not “worthy”.

If you want to be a smartass at least know what you are talking about :p the behavior changed with iOS 11. thats the whole point of this thread ...

sigh.. u want wifi "off", go there like since forever. if u really think an idle mobile wifi chip does havok to battery (it does nothing but hey earth is flat). always someone wanting to pick at something with ios, no reason to take away a fine feature that is the wifi disconnect toggle in control center cause lazy fat people cant muster energy to use the wifi on/off toggle thats been there since the iphone.
