Got this problem that started yesterday.

When I start my mac the wifi is on and signal strong..but after about half a minute ..even if I do nothing ..the wifi turns off and will not turn on again in the preference pane.

Have looked in the Apple community and found people with the exact same problem but only solution given was to boot in safe mode...which I did ..but was still the same.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Have tried to book a genius appointment but the system (I am in the UK ) seems to have changed and I can only seem to book a few days in advance and of course all appointments are taken..but will keep trying

Have you done a recent OS update, it may be worth reinstalling OS X.
