im un jailbreaking for 3.0!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOO

As am I.....If there were a way to add themes to an unjailbroken phone, I think 3.0 would bring about a slow end to jailbreaking. SMS tones and all that would be so minor at that point.

lets not forget tethering. i travel all the time. and at for instance... the ATL airport i have full bars from at&t

i don't really want to pay for wifi access! and i have modified my password on my iphone AND require a password to sign into my network.

in the car there is nothing better than killing time on the internet.

if tether comes out - there will only be cycorder and winterboard left (categories is pretty stupid) - then again there are some pretty cool apps like status notifier (listed before).

and lets not forget installous

I'll probably upgrade to 3.0 almost as soon as it comes out and temporarily lose my Jailbreak, but once it's cracked I'll Jailbreak again. With as many apps as I have around and am constantly grabbing to check out for the Podcast, I need Categories. It was the one thing that I was disappointed to not hear about in the features (though admittedly Spotlight will help, but if you still can only have 9 pages...) for 3.0. SBSettings is something else really useful for me as well, but it's not enough alone to drive me to re-Jailbreak.

Of course, there's also a lot of features that they didn't talk about- it'll be interesting to see when a full list of them gets posted what is and isn't on there.

The only reason I jailbreak is for a background picture, as soon as apple allow that then I think that's the end of jailbreak for me

Im Going to Jailbreak until 3.0 is released, then go back to official Firmware.

Tethering should be added fairly soon for me, as O2 is fine with it, Themes would be nice, as would custom sounds, but ohwell.

Nah. You still can't customise themes (although when Apple figures this out, prepare for nickel and diming you haven't seen outside of Xbox Live).

Also no intelliscreen, Backgrounder, Sbsettings (aka the ability to go into settings without leaving your current app).

If anything, the increased SDK leverage given to devs will allow them to come up with new fresh apps, not just saddled with shoring up the iPhone's lacking content like copy paste/ etc.

Jailbreaking will always be here.

No, because the phone is still sandboxed!

The very reason why jailbreak community exist is to access full control of the phone. Renegade developers will still want to push the envelope of what the phone is capable of doing, as oppose to playing it safe within Apple's guideline.

I figured Apple would eventually give us the stuff we've all wanted. I can't believe there are still people feeling negative about 100 new features. Apple can't put EVERYTHING into one phone.... geeze.

Interesting. So basically, while mms, copy&paste, and many others will be answered in 3.0, you think that jailbreak will just offer more useful stuff.....never thought of it like that.
