3D Software vendors are quite specific about which cards they support on OS X / Windows 7 / Linux. These companies are very unlikely to support users who install third party cards unless they are officially supported by Apple. For that reason most studios won't use these cards because they won't be able to get the software vendors to support them if things go wrong.

I don't care if my card is labelled AMD, Nvidia, Gucci, or DKNY. I just want it to be fast, reliable, and quiet.
