Sorry to be annoying, but you are technically committing fraud by returning it.

I am sure they'll take it back (they won't even check if it's within the 14 days), but I just thought I'd mention it. It's your conscience at the end of the day :).

I HOPE they won't, but they probably will. People who can't accept responsibility and/or lie about it are the reason it gets tougher for everyone ELSE to do legit returns/exchanges.

You damged your phone and came up with a clever way to cheat the system. Bravo?

Too much space? That's hilarious. So how long after they do you a solid and swap your phone will you be returning THAT one again for the one you really wanted all along (64GB)???

Am I wrong? Possible, but which version would the majority believe? 2 weeks not noticing... Lmao good one!

Not sure why you're lying about dropping it in an anonymous forum, but yea that's a sidewalk drop for sure, and your reason(too much space? Blahahahahah) for returning it is absurd. Just admit you're returning it cuz you dented it.

For one, using the storage as an excuse to get a new one? No

And why would I lie on a anon forum? I could care less about what all of you think I'm trying to do and you guys can make all the accusations you want that I dropped it, when I really haven't. And no I'm not returning it because of the dent, I have AppleCare+ so why would I care? I just can't justify paying close to $600 after tax for a phone on contract. So before all of you go out and try to bash me you should get your facts straight.

Well you did kinda ask if people here thought it would be accepted.

I don't think they would accept it. I returned mine last weekend and he checked all sides of the phone and the contents of the box.

What about if I just claimed a repair and pay my $80 deductible and then returned? Do you think that's even possible?

No, because the serial numbers/IMEI won't match the original sale.

Even within your 30 days if you went in for a Genius appointment and got a replacement device and after the fact you decided you wanted to return the device, Apple will not take it as it is not the original device anymore.

You can claim what you want but that is damage caused by dropping the phone period. If it came scraped and damaged like that straight out of the box you would have noticed it right away, not weeks later.
If you go to Apple with this nonsense story you wont get far, just letting you know.
Best of luck to you.

Lol, whatever the case, just keep it. You have the gold(#goldisbest). You will someday get to where you need more space. The slow mo feature alone is a great excuse to take tons of video.

I honestly don't care if you don't believe me that I didn't drop it. Did I claim anywhere in this thread that it wasn't my fault? No. Am I trying to fraud the system? No. Do I expect apple to accept my phone? No. I think you may be reading too fast and/or assuming from other threads that I'm a typical American who thinks they are entitled to a new iPhone just because

Yes, you claimed right above that you didn't drop it.
Either way, it doesn't matter. The same way as everyone here saw the damage Apple will see it too.
I don't think they're blind. Up to you what you want to do.

...guys can make all the accusations you want that I dropped it, when I really haven't.
