Or maybe it's very wise to get the M5 Pro/Max if you don't want a touchscreen, downgraded speakers and battery life, throttling problems and probably no HDMI with the "thinner, lighter redesign".
Add in the significant memory price jump along with the expected price jump from the new OLED screen. Apple had likely already locked in the M5 PRO/Max memory prices last year before the big price jump.

But I am also personally waiting to see if Adobe Lightroom is able to support the GPU Neural Accelerators before pulling the trigger, as that will help me to decide on a config.

Waiting and interested in upgrading my M3 for a newer model with OLED but zero interest in a touchscreen.

(unpopular opinion) But would be interested in a more robust touchbar with haptics and more ACTUAL support from Apple.

They will introduce a single laptop that you pay various subscription fees/levels to unlock more of the M-series processor cores along with Thunderbolt port speeds. Full subscription will see you experiencing a full PRO model.

Apple should sue you for fueling this spiral of expectations. People are blaming Apple, not MR, for not releasing something according to the schedule invented by the rumor mill at MR.

Since 2022 I am on a base M1 Pro model, with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD.

Looking for the M5 Pro model, with 24 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD... and Wi-Fi 7 (I have a new UniFi UDR7 on my home, and my iPhone 17 is already on better speeds than my Mac).

Not interested on touchscreens or new designs that could compromise what has been an excelent form factor for the past years.

Surely it’s time for new appletv’s!!

Every year the rumours are it’ll be released in a few months yet here we are with no new atv!!!!

I am interested in the M5 Max, I presently have a M4 Pro but need more graphics horse power. Not interested in OLED or thinner/lighter and have no need for a touchscreen.

I think we’ll see new MacBook Pro machines next week. I’m in California and just on their base machines with no BTO options; the 14” won’t ship till mid next month and the 16” won’t ship until mid next week.
I'm looking at mine and it says pickup available, can be delivered within 2 hours for $9, or it can ship out tomorrow for free. Apple's official website and this is for all M5 and M4 configurations except the M4 Max top config

Are you also in California?

I’m more interested in new HomePod mini’s, Apple Studio Displays, the new entry MacBook or the MacBook Air update than this particular MBP cycle.
